Wedding Aeolian Islands – Matthew and Juliette both live in Sidney, but when they decided to get married, they chose the white island of Panarea, Eolian Islands, because they love Italy and to honour Matthew’s grandparents, who left Panarea to go to Australia many years ago. Matthew got ready with the groomsmen in his villa, a wonderful hideaway amongst the hills of Panarea, while Juliette chose the prestigious Raya Hotel for her getting ready. Her wedding gown was a traditional-style lace dress, created by the Australian fashion designer Steven Khalil. Her bridesmaids chose a beautiful dress highlighted by a warm orange colour, in order to lighten up the solemnity of the sicilian wedding.
The ceremony took place in the old little church of St. Peter, where friends and family waited for the bride in a gorgeous terrace overlooking the sea.
After the ceremony, singing and dancing at the head of a colourful wedding procession, Juliette and Matthew reached the typical restaurant Da Adelina, and they celebrated their big day overlooking a breathtaking view of the Mediterranean sea.
The popular magazine Harper’s Bazaar chose the photos of our photographic service to explain how to celebrate an Italian Wedding … in Italy!
